Where it starts
A small studio in Brown Hill Creek, Adelaide, on the unceded lands of the Kaurna people. This is where ideas become moulds, moulds become porcelain, and porcelain becomes something worth keeping. Learn how it’s made
Slower than it looks
Slip casting looks easy until you try it. Every mould is made by hand from our own designs, and every piece is poured, drained, trimmed and finished by hand. Nothing about it is set and forget.
Designed first
Deanna is an industrial designer, so every shape is drawn, modelled and 3D printed before it goes near clay. She reworks each one until the proportions feel right. Only then do we make a mould.
A studio with no power
No power and no tap, which is a bold choice for a craft that needs a lot of water. Winter means cold hands and late nights by head torch. It builds character. Mostly ours.
